Description
Deutsch: Die preußische Expedition nach Ägypten unter Richard Lepsius feiert den Geburtstag König Friedrich Wilhelm IV. auf dem Gipfel der Cheops-Pyramide am 15. Oktober 1842. Teilnehmer von links nach rechts: H. Mühleisen, Missionar; Karl Richard Lepsius; Karl Wilhelm Isenberg, Missionar der Basler Mission; Carl Franke, Gipsformer; Max Weidenbach; Ernst Weidenbach; Georg Gustav Erbkam; James William Wild; Joseph Bonomi; Johann Jacob Frey. Die beiden Missionare Mühleisen und Isenberg begleiteten die Expeditionsmitglieder nur auf diesem Ausflug. Heinrich Abeken und Otto Georgi stießen erst später zur Expedition hinzu.
