“Each house has been brought into the fold due to its uniqueness in space and location,” Carla Luce, Managing Director, Owner and Founder of The Greenhouse Retreats, says. “All our retreats have a unique wow factor which reflects our vision of self-care, connection and wellness.”
Wellness is indeed a focus at The Greenhouse Retreats, with each property offering a series of health-based inclusions for guests. “Our inclusions encourage subtle wellness prompts, which we hope stay with our guests long after they leave,” Carla says. “They include organic personal care and spa products from iKOU, organic herbal teas from Teaesk Teas, essential oils from iKOU, yoga and meditation cushions from Mandala Living, and access to the best local contractors for inhouse massages, yoga and wholefood catering.”

The experience

Book a stay at The Greenhouse Retreats and get ready to experience wellness, your way. “Wellness looks different to each of us, and for some, the best self-care is the gift of relaxation with loved ones in a beautiful space,” Carla says. “We are unique in that we sit in between your standard holiday rental and a wellness retreat.”

When staying at one of these properties, you’ll have access to a guest liaison to facilitate your wellness requests. Booking a massage, relaxing with yoga or conducting a cleanse is all too easy for the Greenhouse Retreats team and can be pre-ordered to suit your needs. You could even organise a blissful Retreatment Botanics home facial hamper to treat your skin in the comfort of your own room.

“We are unlike facilitated retreats in that we provide a private location for guests to be away with only people they know, however they still have the customer service and attention to detail of a private retreat,” Carla says.

With a wealth of wellness experiences on offer, guests are spoilt for choice. Yet for some, simply luxuriating in a stylish coastal property is holiday enough. “Our guests can just stay at the house and enjoy all our inclusions, enjoy the space, bring their own food and wine, and truly switch off in a relaxed private location with their closest loved ones,” Carla says. “We want our guests to completely switch off and enjoy the space, so we have created an experience which encourages this, including music, flowers and wine on arrival, essential oils filling the space, organic tea to brew and magnesium bath salts and sprays to enjoy.”

Food and accommodation

Catering is able to be pre-ordered with your Greenhouse Retreat, as well as fresh juices to be delivered upon arrival — you can even organise a juice cleanse. “We can also create a curated hamper for special occasions or wellness groups — perhaps a supplement hamper with collagen and super greens,” Carla says.

For those looking to sample local culinary delights, the Greenhouse Retreats team has you covered. “We also have an inhouse app for each location which has all the house information, directions and local recommendations including ones for the best cafes, restaurants and local attractions,” Carla says.

The properties themselves are true coastal extravagance. The Greenhouse is a three-level five-bedroom waterfront property in Green Point, complete with uninterrupted views of Brisbane Water and a sparkling large pool that enjoys bountiful sun at any time of day.
Next is The Cottage, a four-bedroom delight just a few minutes’ alk from beautiful Pearl Beach. This property is unique in that the main cottage has two queen bedrooms, with two cabins, each able to sleep an extra two people, strategically placed around the pool for added privacy within a group environment.

If you’re craving the Pearl Beach location yet have a larger group, The One is perfect for you. This five-bedroom home is less than a one-minute walk to the beach and exclusive Pearls restaurant. The property can sleep eight adults plus three to four children, and is also perfect for yoga or mums’ groups.

Nestled amongst the treetops is Masters Cottage at popular surf spot Macmasters Beach. Three large bedrooms await you here, with an additional bunks room attached, making this a great getaway location for any groups with children.

Finally, the Pavilions at Pearl is a luxury property featuring three pavilions on an enormous private block, located just minutes away from the tranquil Pearl Beach and flanked by lush native bush. This property sleeps eight adults and six children comfortably.
Prices for the Greenhouse Retreat properties begin on weekdays at $600AUD and weekends from $850AUD per night, depending on the location.

Cleaning and linen fees, plus a security deposit, are also required.

“We also give retreat facilitators a special 10 per cent discount off accommodation,” Carla says.

Things to remember

The Greenhouse Retreats offer a complete relaxation experience, with room set-up, linen, the in-house app and iKOU products all included as a part of your accommodation fee.

“All the products we share in the house can also then be purchased from our Mooi + U Beauty Store,” Carla says. “We want our guests to fall in love with these products and be able to experience clean and organic beauty every day, not just when they are away.”

Guests are reminded to consider the neighbours when visiting, as all retreats are privately owned houses in residential areas.
